I process personal data only to deliver the website and to answer your inquiries.

Hosting and delivery by Cloudflare

The website is delivered through Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you visit, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data, in particular your IP address, date and time, the requested address, browser and device details and the previously visited page. This serves to deliver the website, keep it stable and protect it from attacks.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is the secure and reliable provision of the website.

A data processing agreement with Cloudflare is in place. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and transfers to the USA rely on the European Commission’s adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR). More: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/

Contact form and email

When you use the contact form or write to me, I process your details (name, email address, company and topic if given, and the content of your message) to handle your inquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your inquiry aims at a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is answering your inquiry.

Cloudflare sends messages from the contact form as an email to my mailbox. Cloudflare Email Routing forwards emails sent to addresses on this domain to my mailbox at Google (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

I delete your messages once they are no longer needed for your inquiry, unless tax retention duties (§ 147 AO) require longer storage.

Links to other websites

This website links to other services, such as app stores and my own products. Data is transferred only when you click a link. The privacy policy of the respective provider applies there.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). You may object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21). An email to the address above is enough.

You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for me is the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Rheinland-Pfalz, Hintere Bleiche 34, 55116 Mainz, Germany.

Obligation to provide data, automated decisions

You are not obliged to provide personal data. Without your email address, however, I cannot reply. No automated decision-making or profiling under Art. 22 GDPR takes place.
